What's Hot At SXSW 2015? Spot (Or Stream) This Year's Trends

As thousands of peeps head to Austin for South By South West (SXSW) this weekend, the big question on everyone's mind is what will be hot - software, hardware, content, user experience? Perhaps one way to answer the question will be with a new app, Meerkat. 

Meerkat is a live streaming app that may be the intersection of an Instagram video, Snapchat and Twitter.  Users download the app, login with their Twitter account and begin live streaming. A tweet is sent to announce the stream. Once the streaming has ended it disappears unless the user saves it to their phone or tablet. 

As of Wednesday, Meerkat is reaching out to SXSW attendees to join their lineup. What happens when you put a new app in the hands of 72,000 interactive, music and film geeks? Time will certainly tell...or stream.
